You are welcome. Just some random thoughts from my personal experience about shop layout and design. Glad you found them useful. I am sure others can add to my thoughts as well.

I can't wait to see this one (when I get a chance to watch video). I thought long and hard when deciding how to set up my very tight shop. I have been considering moving a couple things around and it will be nice to see other perspectives before I do.

Robbie,
Where can I find a can of "ACME Guitar Builder's Can of Whoop Ass". I could use some of that...

Good stuff. My shop is my three-car garage, and I'm planning to spend some time this summer rebuilding parts of my shop (new cabinets, etc.). I would be interested in seeing people's clever (and not as clever) ideas for storage. For example, I plan to build some kind of holder for my bandsaw blades. I also intend to make a series of shallow drawers to hold my various grits of sandpaper. If anyone has any drawer/cabinet/shelf/storage projects that they are proud of, I would be eager to see them!

Shop design is such a fun game - mine would be much nicer if I didn't have the family heirloom (but not particularly nice - no, lets say really ugly) dining table taking up space in it and serving as the perpetual catch-all. A lot of neck and end blocks and perhaps backs and sides sitting there, hmmm.....

Good video, Robbie, as usual. And timely -- I've just moved back to Canada and into a new (to me) house where I get to establish new workspace in the coming months (once our stuff gets off a boat!). My 3HP compressor will be in the garage, on the other side of the workshop wall. I'm interested to learn more about your "venturi valve" and the plumbing you describe to have both positve and negative pressure in the shop.

Shop dog is good. Keeps away the customers who you don't want anyway.

I have a pretty small shop at 185 sqft. I just did a tool shuffle and some how it seemed like I gained 50 sqft of floor space. Never stop moving stuff around you'll eventually fine the perfect setup.

One thing I like to say and try to practice, only have what you NEED!! Everything else is taking up space.
